The Aati Package Manager (Arabic: آتِ, pronounced: Ah-Tea,
say APM if you struggle with that) is a cross-platform hybrid
package manager written in Rust. Aati's aim is to make packaging and
installing applications easier for everyone on every platform.
Aati utilises
PKGFILEs
for instructing Aati on the installation/removal of a package
distribution, which leads to Aati's hybrid nature of being good at both
being a binary and a source package manager.
Aati is a work in progress and experiences breaking changes without notice. Aati's upstream development is hosted on sr.ht with a mirror on GitHub nonetheless. You can contribue by submitting a pull request on GitHub or by sending a patch to the development mailing list <~haras/aati-devel@lists.sr.ht>
